fine gold is best recovered with a blue bowl or something like that.
it is very hard to recover, but the blue bowl seems to be the best method for me.
there are other ways to recover it, but they are the dangerous( if mishandled) unmentionable ways………you can find out some more ways to recover fines on the net, just google “fine gold recovery”
good luck and hope your pan turns yellow !
that fine gold is always the ardest to recover. Takes a lot of patience to pan it down. I remember watching the GPAA show with Buzz on it and remember a device he made called a ‘poop tube’. I found an old scrap piece of sewer tube thats still sitting in my garage waiting for me to eventually make one. Have youtried one? If so, will it catch flour gold?
warren county in west central Indiana is a good place to look.
again, the best book to use as research, is “gold and diamonds in indiana, an update”
available from the state.
gives all known gold occurances in the state. cost about $2.00 and you can find it on the web.
look up the website “central indian gpaa”
tons of info and pics and prospectors there !
i stand corrected chris, there were some salt size specks at the baptizin hole.
would have never guessed gold would have pushed this far south.
we panned for 20 or 30 minits and found 4 specks……gold is where you find it i guess.
mabey tom can pan here so he WONT be lying.
Tim, I wonder about the creek behind your house. I’ll let you in on a little secret, years ago a old man supposedly found gold at the baptizing hole…hmmm, go figure.
colby, i fully support, and recomend the GPAA.
The premmise is a good one, and it does help support mining rights.
the fact that if you sell a product and prommise support, you provide that support.
you dont take a persons money, then ignore them.
thats just like lying. no matter what kind of biz your in.
you can find tons of buzzard where he tells us,” no, we dont find gold every time we go out.”
why does Tom?
I KNOW MY BACK YARD NO GOLD TOM !
COME FIND IT IN FRONT OF US ALL !!
Honus Shane, the property owner and curator is a nice man, and wont lie to you to save his life.
i interveiwed him off camera and was told, and show exactly where tom ” found” the gold.
there have been well over 100 prospectors in toms exact spot, and they cant find a speck.
are we selling the honest truth and promoting prospecting, or are we lying to folks to dupe them into buying a membership
God i wish the Buzzard was still with us he would probably whip his sons’ ass for lying to people.
I have called the gpaa, and lost duchmans assn, ( even quit ldma) over the fact they wouldnt return my calls reguarding the question of buzzards statements)
i have no doubt buzzaard was telling the truth, but why does the ldma, tom and perry, and ken and crew not want to talk about it?
tom panned the gold out right in front of us on the show, yet the man who owns it basically proved him a liar.
there have been many many prospectors come there and not a spek.
I challenge Tom to do it LIVE !
you know, i always watched the Buzzards old shows .
I found him to be a truthful man.
not saying he was perfect, but i dont think he is the type to ever lie to anyone about the gold, whatso ever.
he just wanted to help people.
HOWEVER,several shows, he plainly states the line about gold being mined “commercialy) in all but 2 states, ky and hawaii, but sayes “THERE IS GOOD GOLD AROUND pine knob I KNOW FOR A FACT”(Grayson co,ky my home county!)
ONLY tom found it there nobody else ever has.
There is no gold in Kentucky. No glaciers. No metamorphic rock. You might get a speck or two in Kenton Co. from washing down from glaciers before the Ohio River was formed.
what im talking about is 15 prospectors going to pine knob kentucky, to the same streamTom went to, to the same exact area (within feet) to where he ” got the nuggets of gold” he “found.
there was no gold, even the curator of the site who appeared in the video, told me exactly where this person went to the step, and there was no gold.
dredges, highbankers, sluices and pans, 15 prospectors, no gold, not even a speck of glacial gold at all.
someone LIED, to us!
this is my home county,He LIED!
tiny stuff
