Very cool video. I used to go trout fishing up there when I was a kid. I’ve been looking to pick up gold panning for the heck of it and it’s good to know I don’t have to drive fifteen hours to do it.
@canoeman44 River bed=Public domain.
@canoeman44 Private property ?? no one can own the river bed all you do is get into the river where it is public property and don’t touch the shore.
Pretty river =D
Good vid, very motivating. I have been researching gold prospecting for a few years and more recently focusing on New England states and chose NH. I climbed the Whites for 30 years and know the area well. Do your research, the web has a TON of info, use it. Get permission, its not that hard, the locals are great, FOLLOW THE RULES or you will fuck up a good thing. LEAVE NO SIGN!!! Minimize your impact to the area. Yes, I did find some ‘Fines’. Lots of work, lots of fun.
Thanx again for the vid.
any gold in new york in the lake ontario area and finger lakes areas
Nice video. One thing that should be mentioned is that is Private Property! Unless you have permission you should not go there.
Nice job on the vid! The winter is very long and it sure is nice to get out after the long waite. I prospect the swift and surrounding areas in Maine. I always wanted to go to NH to dredge, but I dont know where to get the permit. Could you help?
People drive from NY CT and MA to get to the amm. You have a prime base for gold hunting!
My grandmother owns part of the land off of the Wild Ammonoosuc River so maybe I can try there
nice job.
