@KingsWorld2010 Ah! You mean like The Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement Board (loss of $45 million)? or the Quebec Public Sector Pension fund ($70 million), or the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan ($100 million)? Maybe the many thousands of small investors, or the multiple suicides that resulted from the scam?

I like how you totally understand who these so called “wall street fuckers” actually are and who makes up the majority of investors in public companies……

He is called a hero to criminals because he was? the bad guy who got away with this. I never lost money from Bre-X stock. A few folks I knew made a lot on the puts, when that stock crashed. I don’t admire Degouzman, but I gotta say I was impressed with how he got away with this scam. So simple of a con, yet seems complex.

  15. JohnnyStorm2007 says:

    He’s? definitely alive.

  16. somekidfromtexas says:

I’m just shocked? as how core samples were dug up but no actual mining was done during the 3 year period.

  17. pitolove71 says:

He is truly a hero in my book. Look at the thievery that Wall street has done to Americans this last? decade? We need more of his kind.

Michael Digouzman is alive, he currently lives in Shanpa, India. He has converted to Hinduism and is currently living in a lush apartment the size of 3 houses, with? a wonderful wife, and 4 servants at his beck and call.

    True mastermind. Didn’t get? caught

  20. KevinKaya says:

@6Ott7 No, there are several examples on Youtube that what you said is? not the case.

  21. 6Ott7 says:

@KevinKaya Well if you wana make an omelet, you gotta crack a few eggs. ?

  22. KevinKaya says:

@6Ott7 “Not one investor has ever been compensated, a harsh reality for thousands of ordinary people who invested their life savings Bre-X and were left peniless”? – (6Ott7) – Do you really think he is a hero?

  23. KevinKaya says:

To the people calling this guy a hero: Are you aware that he didn’t just scam Wall? Street and big investors but ordinary middle class people, some people even comitted suicide after investing their life savings. Do you really think scamming ordinary people to the point of suicide makes him a hero?

  24. MONOPOLY35 says:

@Equity213 EXCELLENT THEORY! You have my support. Well? done.

  25. MONOPOLY35 says:

There is good reason to believe that Michael? de Guzman faked his own death. The amount of time he had to make an escape plan is small, but plenty enough to get away with all that money. Plus, why would he go on a plane with members of the corrupt Indonesian government?
However, I have to say that Equity213 has a good theory as well. Remember, the body was “so gruesome, the Indonesian government refused to show his dead body”. Michael de Guzman could have been taken against his own will.
