@ghosttownhunter I understand, I would not want to advertise either. I bought my first gold pan, made by Garrett Sluice Pan, your right about the ribs on the back side of the pan, much easier on the hands. My wife laughed at me when my pan arrived UPS. I took the pan out to the creek behind my house, and the very first time I found my first speck of Gold in about 15 minutes, my wife doesn’t laugh now. I have learned alot from your videos, I’ll buy a slush box from you. Thanks

Excellent video, I like the line ” I’m going to China that’s where the real job’s are”, LOL. Jeff, how much gold (money) did you make in 3 hours, just curious.

  11. bradmoore8 says:

Yea, I understand that it wouldn’t be practical to make one like that. But I’m probably
going to be packing this big drywasher in my self. And one less motor would be one less trip to the truck and a 125.00 cheaper. I wanted to buy a big dry washer so I can shovel non stop to move the much need material to move more gravel and then in return hopefully more gold. So if any ideas are out there I won’t turn them away. Thanks Terry for your great videos!!!!

  12. ghosttownhunter says:

@bradmoore8 Yes it is ” possible ” but I don’t think it would be practical. The idea behind a vac pac is mobility in the field and the 4 cycle engines are too heavy for this. Jeff

  13. ghosttownhunter says:

@bradmoore8 Yes you are right. The rule of thumb is 1 inch drop for every foot of sluice but that is just a general guide line. I would recommend classifying down to the size of the gold you are recovering. 1/4 inch is good to start with. Big material will effect your riffles ability to work. Jeff

  14. bradmoore8 says:

Hey Jeff. I was thinking of buying a used keene 151 dry washer. Is it possible to convert the bigger style motors like the Honda’s and the bigger blowers to be able to swap them back and forth from the dry washer to a vac pack like what you have at the end of this video. My goal is to make a vac pack out of the bigger style motor so I can clean the bed rock off. So it will be less to pack in and out.
Thank you very very much for answering my comments!!! Brad

Thanks for the info!! So it sounds like in the top section your using the new miracle mat? I have in the top of mine is the the black ribbed mating for a quick clean up. So I’m pretty new to running my dredge high banker combo. Not much water here in the summer. I’m dredging this weekend I believe it’s one inch drop per foot of sluice to start then adjust from there? Most gold where I’m working is fine to flake. It is classifying to 1/2 on the box. I have 1/4 screen would this be better? Thanks

  16. ghosttownhunter says:

@bradmoore8 Thanks for the comments. We clean up at the end of the day. if your sluice is set up right ( i.e. angle and water flow ) then you should be able to run all day. Also keep in mind that we modified our Keene A52 sluice into a triple sluice, so if we have a clean up its in the top section. Jeff

  17. bradmoore8 says:

Nice video and very nice gold!!! With the sluice box your using how often do you do a clean up? I have a 3 inch Keene dredge high banker combo that is almost all miners moss. I was just wondering how often I should clean up? My box is 12 inches wide by 48 inches long! Thanks for the great videos!!!

  18. ghosttownhunter says:

@ascottnorris We didn’t show the process because we thought it was too boring but next time we are out I will film how to clean up the sluice box. Jeff

  19. ascottnorris says:

Great video Jeff, Do you think you could show the clean out process to show us how you get the concentrates?!!! Keep up the good work my man!
