For some reason, I thought hitler’s new acropolis was to be in Linz and not Berlin. I guess I was incorrect.

If Hitler wasn’t a bellicose ruler, he might have been remembered for great things, but that is not how things are. He was interesting, but maniacal to the end.
@colderbeer Yeah the German Army itself I believe (cant remember) still outnumbered the Allies even in the later period of 1944-45 when the Axis were in full retreat on all fronts (Italy, France and Russia/Poland). The guy who designed the model above (Albert speer) took over as minister for munitions in 1942 and organised everything to such a degree so they were producing 3 times as much with only a 15% increase in raw materials. Theyd be nothing without speer.

Yeah, it was officially referred to as “Neo-classicism with size” – Hitler was a big fan of Roman (classical) architecture. He and Speer planned to base Germania on an upsized and modernised version of this classical Roman architecture, with possible Greek influence too.

@VibrationPack You truly have quite a bit to learn. Before you ever again judge others do some research and get all your facts together. A old man who served under General Patton was the one who explained this to me…….think he is qualified on this topic? That’s right….he was actually THERE. He said the German army was an incredible fighting machine (much better than anticipated) and because Hitler foolishly spread out his armies (by invading Russia) the German army lost their advantage.
